Matteo Tampone

Matteo Tampone was born in Turin. During 2013 he creates MATstudio, a unique communicative project, that brings that artistic-industrial capacity associated with the field of design and project to a whole new level. Acknowledged among the best 15 artists at Paratissima 2015, he was selected for the Hit Parade exhibition at the MAUTO automobile museum in Turin with "Corpi Galleggianti" (Floating Bodies). His works of art become wallpapers representing a face and the temporal path of its surface. An experimentation of material reactions and artistic expression. His philosophy of expression is based on imagining and creating new sensations to produce new emotions. In the artistic field he explores research on oxidation processes. Reaction and transformation of surfaces, colors that vary in a temporal path challenging the speed of time, as if to underline how our world changes so quickly. Materials are an essential part of his research. Exploring, experimenting, playing with materials are impulses to propose new concepts and new works.
