Giorgia Ricci

Artist and illustrator. Born in Rimini in 1976. After studying graphic design at ISIA (Higher Institute of Industrial Arts) in Urbino, she completed her studies at Fabrica, Benetton Group’s creative communication research centre. Giorgia lives and works in Treviso where she continues with her artistic career while working with design studios and fashion companies. Her productions are characterised by a continuous contamination among illustration, freehand drawing, painting and collage joined together by a fluid narrative texture. Giorgia Ricci draws dreamlike scenes populated by mythological characters, femmes fatales, Greek caryatids, minotaurs, vampires and innocent maidens. These are fairy tale-like contexts where nature is a constant element that brings back to a realistic dimension the imaginary journeys told by her personal sensitivity and the skill of her stroke.
