Cosimo Andrisano
He graduates at the Academy of Fine Arts in Lecce, particularly in the sculpture section. His work is both pictorial and sculptural with clear metaphysical accents. Rocky graphisms, mythological and contemporary images are his favourite subjects. With his disruptive constructions that mix different techniques, from collage to painting, from the insertion of writings to the stratification of supports, Andrisano codifies the dreams of escape and celebrities of the latest generation mixing them with advertising slogans, photographs, scratches, flashes of red and postmodern hieroglyphics. An attitude in line with the traditional role of criticism of much of collage and décollage as an artistic technique of denunciation. Andrisano's is a complex investigation into identity, identification and generation gaps.
